The prototype is the Ann Arbor ‘Ferry in the Fog’ scheme developed in the Michigan Interstate era. These cars were purchased in 1979 and repainted in the orange scheme. Many survived to predecessor railroads Tuscola & Saginaw Bay, and Great Lakes Central. Though no longer in active use, a handful still exist today in their original orange paint! 6023 in Cadillac, MI and 6047 in Milan, MI, as modeled in this run.
